The corporate challenge forms part of the Asda Foundation York 10K, organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All.
"We have been delighted to see more and more companies taking part each year. The enthusiasm of the teams and the sense of the achievement at the end of the race makes the event truly special.
More than 6,000 people are expected to take part in the sixth Asda Foundation York 10K. Starting and finishing in Knavesmire Road alongside York Racecourse, the race starts at 9.30am and takes in historic landmarks including the Minster and Clifford’s Tower.
It also features the Arena Group York Mini and Junior runs, a chance for children of all abilities to enjoy a fun and free event and do their bit for charity.
The 2.5km Junior Run for children aged nine to 14 and the 1.5km mini, open to three to eight year olds accompanied by an adult, start at 11.45am at York Knavesmire following the York 10K.
The Asda Foundation York 10K’s partner charities are Brain Tumour Research and Support Across Yorkshire, CLIC Sargent, Candlelighters, Macmillan Cancer Support, Martin House Children’s Hospice, St Leonard’s Hospice, Sue Ryder, Yorkshire Cancer Research and York Teaching Hospital Charity.
