Small also told me the entire team plays with a chip on their shoulder for being doubted. With a majority of people picking Mater Dei, that chip is only getting bigger.

Cantwell Sacred Heart gave the Monarchs truly all they could handle in front of a friendly home crowd. The second Mater Dei hits the court I have a feeling they are going to feel very, very far from home. By every indication the Mayfair crowd is going to be insane, especially the student section. Playing in a friendly environment (and a hostile one for your opponent) is a big boost for any upset bid.

If the Monsoons are going to win, it will be because they played stellar defense. Mayfair trademark press has been known to get under opponents skin and they taken down some pretty good teams because of it (see below).
