IF YOU ask his family, Origin streaker Wati Holmwood is a ”mild mannered fellow”. He just likes to get his kit off in front of 80,000 fans and millions watching at home. In what will go down as arguably the most embarrassing moment in security guard history Holmwood, far from an elite athlete, ran 90 metres before he was nabbed late in Origin II. After photos surfaced on the net exposing his nether regions, all we’ll say is we hope he doesn’t streak at a chilly Canberra Stadium any time soon. In honour of the man from Tempe, here’s some of the more memorable (and in better shape) streakers of all time.

Roy on the charge: It was a tackle that would warrant a five week suspension in the NRL these days. In a one dayer at the Gabba in 2008, former Australian batsman Andrew Symonds poleaxed a streaker with a brutal shoulder charge. It was a shot NRL hit men Josh Papalii and Nigel Plum would be proud of.

Unhappy Chappy: Former Australian Test captain Greg Chappell was renowned for his impeccable timing with the willow, but he went after balls of a different kind when he smacked a streaker with his bat during a game in New Zealand in 1979.
