Start by painting any colors that you might like as the background color. You can use paint markers or Fabric Spray Paint.

Once you have the background color that you like, and the color is dry, tape off any areas that you want to remain that color, and then paint with a new color. Or use Fabric Painters Markers to draw over the colored base layer.

If you want to add a wide toe area, find a bottle that has a wide base. Determine how much of the bottle base you need to cover the shoe, and cut off the remaining top part.

Then cut down the sides of the bottom of the bottle, making two equal halves. Decorate each with acrylic paint, sequins, etc. When they have dried, use colored duct tape to attach the new toe parts to your shoes.
