"A lot of our schools are looking at it as a deterrent, and if it works, then it’s a good program," Wiggs said.

Woollum said he led the effort to institute the stepped up CNU policy, which also includes a ban on on campus alcohol consumption and use of tobacco products during any athletics related activity.

It is supported by but wasn’t mandated by CNU President Paul Trible.
